These are the first and the last song of each section for reference. I'll stay superficial bc you don't need to know the depths of my brainrot, just know that the songs are mostly either from Sam or Seb POV, few of them from other's characters POVs, and in the second half are mostly shared POV. I tried to keep all the songs in what I think are their vibes but sometimes my hand slipped for the sake of the plot I had in my head not me putting Lorde and LDR in a Sambastian playlist

Sam and Sebastian are in their teens, they grew up attached to the hip and figured they always will be. Sebastian lightheartedly realizes there might be something more, which could be true for Sam as well if he wasn't half unaware half in denial because that's not how things are supposed to go. Surely he just loves his best friend so much and it's nothing more complicated then that! Right?? But Seb's feelings slowly become heavier and that mixed with the fact that he refuses to accept help for anything from anyone starts to strain the relationship as time passes.

Bad times. Seb is depressed and it doesn't help that Sam and his savior complex are dating Penny (and they are actually good for each other for a while). Sebastian retaliates with Alex, something that Sam disapproves because he was one of his bullies (PSA: my boy Alex is not a villain!! just closeted young and struggling). Is it protectiveness or jealousy? That's between him and god. Much general angst when you add severe growing pains and bad mental health to a broken heart. They end up taking time apart and not seeing each other again. It's hard.

Healing hours 🖤 They really needed to work on themselves first and foremost. They figure out stuff, Sebastian fixes his relationship with Maru, Sam is finally honest with himself about his own issues. Friends help. Eventually, they meet again. They easily fit right back together and tentatively work out their feelings.

When you've already spent a lifetime together, something very special inevitably takes form. I was thinking about their new timeskipped vibe once they get older and lose the dumbass energy (at least some of it) in favor of a deeper devotion (Hi Hozier). I might keep adding to this. This part is not chronological, truly just Sambastian basking in their love and celebrating everything they've accomplished

Okay, so, coherency is not my play for the day! But! Hells, where do I get started with this lovely piece right here?

Because, firstly, thank you for taking the lighthouse prompt of the three, it was definitely the more focused on the environment versus on the odd bits and bobbles the other two were throwing around. Love them dearly, but, still, happy.

I like that this takes place in the future, like, oh, Sleep's gone and left them, but they're doing pretty fine, even after, at least in Vessel's case, being altered into something so very much not human. But it's also, like, yeah, maybe it didn't completely leave, given Vessel's whole reaction being prompted by Sleep's rage. Like is he completely hollow now, forever strung up by Sleep's emotions, a vessel that holds only the threads of the god? But then, on the outside, the sky changes because of Vessel's rage. Like, oh, they exchanged some shit, he gave up his insides and Sleep gave up the outside. Fascinating stuff there.

Love that the trio of misfits were all ready to go busting open the door to the lighthouse and probably end up getting swallowed without much thought. "Head empty, lets go on an adventure" type of thinking between the three of them. Well, maybe just the two, given Two needs to be convinced to go along with their shit. Gotta wonder how long Three and Four just kept staring at the lighthouse or even just attempted on their own before realizing they needed everyone there. Like, oop, this won't even budge, we're getting splinters in our hands from even trying. Also, can't not enjoy Four just picking Two up and carrying her while Three's shoving Vessel along, both impatient in their own special ways.

And that little hesitation! The, hm, haven't given a thought to this place in who knows how long, didn't wanna do this, got finagled into this, oh gods, maybe we shouldn't—and, well shit, there's Three doing xis best right there. Real instigator of a tall shit.

And Two just bolting, like, what the hell did it see amongst perfection? Just swallowed whole by the siren song of Eden! And, oh, thought, wow, they're going to have a fun time in Eden, pet some birds, bite some apples, find original sin—wait, wasn't there a gore warning? Oh right, right, I know this play! Bam, Four runs in, boom, Three, who has gotta feel something off or maybe it's just Vessel, and Vessel enter together, and wham!

Ha, Eden, who needs that when you get to splash about in an open flesh wound for a bit instead, yeah? Really what's the difference between that and a good old bath? Rotting meat, rotting meat! Like a slashed-up throat? Pain? Necrosis? Oh, oh, they're royally fucked. But they're at least together! In the dark, on a stone floor, ha, oh fuck they're fucked big old time.

And then, and then, you get this cinematic video game shot of, wow, woke up in this dark forest, got stone under their feet, half burned, half-rotted, oh is it Eden truly or someone's empty stomach?

Hello, Sleep! Real nice welcoming you got here, hey, maybe don't cover your guests in mystery fluids, might be a bit warmer received.

Damn, that was awesome! The cliffhanger, the lulling of Eden, of the lighthouse, this weird little mystery of "Welcome back" when it's like, uh, no, Sleep, pretty sure you left, but then there's the cracks in the lighthouse where it could be like, hey, over here, dumbass, help me out a wee bit, would ya?

Thank you so much for taking my lil prompt and turning it into a right start of a whole-ass mystery! I'm definitely going to have this on my mind for a while, especially about the lighthouse cracking and flesh oozing on about inside it!

The lighthouse had always been there. On the very edge of his property. Which made no sense, as he did not live on a shoreline. It was perched on a foundation that had once been level, but had half sunk into the ground. Vessel had never paid much attention, in all reality. He'd never gone near it and had ignored when the cracks had appeared. They'd looked…too dark to be natural. He figured Sleep had taken up residence there before leaving all together. Sleep had been gone for a very long time now. Vessel knew it was simply because the God had found solace, peace, no longer needed Vessel. He was glad that the God had found all Sleep had needed. The lighthouse had always been there. 

That was what Vessel told Three when xe had asked. Three wasn’t buying it. Xe had always been the instigator, the one ready for an adventure, the one prying about every aspect Vessel had forgotten about worship. Two was never far behind, always following xim into whatever mess curiosity had created. 

Two and Three flounced into the dark paneled library where Vessel had been resting. Vessel closed the book, hearing Two’s soft voice. 

“We’re going to the lighthouse,” it held Vessel’s hand as she spoke. Vessel immediately opened his mouth to protest but she shushed him. It smiled softly, looking up at Three and allowing xim to speak. 

“We’re going,” xis voice was rumbling, lower than a bass tuned to Drop A. A monotonous, flat drone of a voice, something that brought comfort to Vessel when xe wasn’t being agitating. Now it was the buzz of a thousand flies, locusts, something plaguelike sent to invade Vessel’s peace. Vessel’s eyes, all six of them, flashed a lifeless, soulless, heartless black as Sleep’s rage stirred within him. The sky blackened with Vessel’s rage, his god given powers raging under the surface of his skin. His mouth pulled down into a frown, spines protruded from his chin as his face turned red and white, turned hard. 

“Think you guys pissed him off!” Four called, whistling as they walked past the doorway. They had a crowbar slung over their shoulder. Vessel realized all three of them were in on the same plan. Two’s long skirt swished over its legs as she danced out of the room. Three followed. Vessel sighed, set aside the tome he’d been buried in. 

“Fine. You want to open that door? Let’s open it,” he turned to smoke, sailing ahead of Two and Three, flying out the door that Four was holding. He rematerialized in the grass, bare feet wet from the dew. The lighthouse cast a long, foreboding shadow across the yard, nearly reaching Vessel where he had landed. Three and Four were laughing, excited, ready to plow forth on their new adventure. Two lingered, holding its hand out for Vessel to take. 

“I’m glad you’re here,” she whispered. “Sleep used to live in there, right?” 

“Yeah, so I have no idea what’s going to be in there, but, since they so desperately need to know,” Vessel paused. “You, too. You’re not off the hook, you know? You’re as wily as they are,”

“Well, no. It was xis plan first, then they joined in, and they asked me to get you on board. You have a soft spot for me,” Vessel smiled at its words. Three was running at them now, instead of in the direction of the lighthouse. Xe circled behind them, with Four on xis heels. 

“You’re too slow,” xe grumbled, literally pushing on Vessel’s back. Four lifted Two up, carrying her across the yard. 

All too soon, they were all standing in front of the door. It was practically pulsing with energy, telling them to stay back. Four stuck their crowbar in between the door and the frame. 

“Maybe we really shouldn’t,” Vessel began, but Three slammed xis body into Four, and the crowbar forced the door open. 

Birdsong. 

The door opened onto a veritable Eden. It was lush, it was perfect. Vines hung down in the doorway, even. Two immediately jumped over the threshold and disappeared. “We have to follow her,” Four immediately spoke and ran in as well. It was…strange. They’d each disappeared the second they crossed into the lighthouse. Three grabbed Vessel’s hand. They went together. 

Over the threshold, the eden disappeared. They were within a gaping wound. Vines became torn flesh, sinew, cartilage hanging from what should have been the lighthouse ceiling. The place was overwhelmingly full of a rotting meat smell. It looked like a slashed throat, it looked like pain and necrosis. Vessel gagged. Two and Four were standing together, paralyzed. Four spoke. 

“T-there’s a hole. In the floor,” Four’s voice shook; they were terrified. Vessel creeped forward, toward them, and looked where they were pointing. 

The floor became slick with blood, oozing up from below. Two fell. And began sliding toward the hole. Four scrambled, trying to grab it before it slid away. Three fell, knocking Vessel’s legs out. They both slid hard across the unnaturally slick floor. Four remained upright, but Two was slipping from their grasp. The floor became worse, slicker, and Four went down. They all slid, no one could get a grasp on anything except the others. Darkness took over, they plunged into a thick, oppressive blackness. 

When Vessel woke, he could barely see. He was on a hard stone floor. Three was nearby, groaning. 

“Vessel,” Two hissed. Vessel reached his hand out, looking for Two. He found something hard and thin, an object. “Vessel, where are you?” He grasped it, lifted it up to begin to assess it. 

It was a torch, and it flared to life. Where they had landed was decaying stone, before a dark forest. The forest looked half burned, half rotted, from what little Vessel could see. A voice Vessel had not heard in several years rang against the stone around him, burned into his skull. Sleep. 

“Welcome back,”

(OKAY okay so I've come to provide more information on the AU, I'm still working on it a lot so things might change or be added but I got a basic idea of what things are like rn !!)

Info dump moment rn, also TW for slight trauma mentions/hints

• Sam had managed to save the Wii from melting itself all those years ago, and is a pretty big person on tech, so she likes to experiment and try new things, and actively tries to help Eteled out or transfer him through devices so he isn't just stuck in one place all the time, with lots of trial and tons of error, especially since she knows the Wii's getting old and that it can be unstable occasionally with glitches

• Kyle has also taken a liking to learning more about technology through Sam's influence so he sometimes comes over and they both will just study and brainstorm ideas

• Sam moved out of her home and now lives in her own apartment, is in college to pursue her dream of working around and creating technology, hasn't really considered making a job out of it since she mostly does it for fun and likes to achieve her dream goals, Nathan and Kyle also occasionally visit to just hang out and do whatever, usually resulting in the three staying up very late into a movie or game night, and Eteled having to talk Sam into getting sleep for the next morning

• Even though Sam is big on all tech, consoles and video games, she still has a soft spot for old generation consoles in particular

• Sam, Nathan and Kyle had all gotten pretty close growing up so they're like a dumbass trio /lh

• Will moved out of state or some shit

• Kyle wakes up from his villain arc and makes a truce with Eteled /J.. FR though Kyle softens up and becomes more understanding of Eteled's side after they start talking it out, while what happened did bother him at the time all those years ago, he just kinda grew up to the point where it didn't have such of an effect on him anymore, I mean all he saw was a Mii get slice and diced, no need to go beast mode over it, so they forgive each other of the past

• Kyle and Nathan are besties to homosexuals, homie love

• Sam made a Mii of herself from when she was younger to keep Eteled company when going out or having to attend school, Eteled appreciated it but wouldn't wanna admit how it wasn't the same and about how much he would miss Sam when she had to get off the Wii

• Gives Eteled abandonment issues because I love being evil

• He's actually clingy on the inside but would never admit it to anyone

• Also views Sam as a sort of daughter figure besides just a friend but is too nervous to mention it, he wants Sam to be safe, loves whenever she talks or rants to him about anything or shows him something she made or is proud of, or even just anything at all, father Eteled is proud of his child/bestie

• He like, genuinely feels loved around her and would definitely cry about it but would never show it, or at least try not to

• Eteled has the favorite Mii pants because Sam put them on him, with quote "I think it's about time my best friend gets to rock a new style", and yes it did make him almost cry on the spot

• Austin is like, mentally conflicted as hell

• Austin and Eteled both feel guilty for what they've done to each other over the years, aren't sure they can or are ready to forgive the other but they're very slowly learning to tolerate each other

• They're like enemies to kinda friends in a way

• They're traumatized mfs

• They still sometimes fight but it's usually just yelling or saying shit now, they don't do the chair, deletion or axe really anymore since they at least got to the point where they respect each other's boundaries and triggers, and there's no point to keep doing the same old for over 10+ years, for the most part, they still slip up sometimes

• They do fuck up though occasionally so that's why Eteled has scars and Austin is a bit more bashed up

• They still have a rooted dislike for each other they're trying to get over but they sometimes chill out or talk, usually when Sam is asleep or off the Wii for a while, the two just will maybe visit or sit around to at least try to understand the other better

• Sam knows Austin is still around, and it took a while but with time she grew to accept him when he didn't seem like a big threat anymore, and that he was just as important of a soul as Eteled was, she still didn't like the fights and didn't know the full story

• She'd probably section them away from the other with a child gate if she could

• Austin of course has an ego and would never tell another soul that he has many nightmares of the server room and about what happens if he gets caught off guard or is sleeping when Eteled decides to attack him again, Eteled wouldn't do that, and Austin knows it but it's just the deep rooted fear he can't get rid of, even though he's much taller and technically more powerful than the smaller Mii

• Eteled is just tired, usually just sleeps in the Mii channel, especially when under stress or tires himself out if he's going through a moment, like triggered memories or emotions

• From all the deleting and the chair, and more crap from his early life, Eteled is just terrified of it all so even the idea of them scares the fuck out of him, so as a natural response he just tries to defend himself with his axe even if he would be shaking like a chicken, he really tries not to pull it out but he can't always stop himself

• The axe itself would probably also bother Austin a bit, but he would still try to cautiously calm Eteled down since he knows he's just afraid, so afterwards they'd probably have to awkwardly apologize for what the fuck happened at that very moment

• Sam sometimes offers them both to play a game together with her, or plans on playing with Eteled and invites Austin along, as a way to make them bond, they do end up having some fun though

• Eteled has seen and/or been around or within newer Nintendo consoles, but personally prefers being in the Wii since he's used to it the most, and it's the most comfortable and homey to him

• Oh yeah, if Austin or Eteled is having an episode or is deeply upset then the other will try to help sometimes if it's really bad, Austin tries to hide it more but it doesn't always work, yeah they have reasonable reasons to not like the other, but they aren't complete assholes

• They both got trauma memories and aren't gonna just watch the other suffer through it

• Austin may or may not have taken in what Eteled had said all that time ago about "Learning to move past the past", even though that technically makes Eteled a hypocrite when he's constantly beating himself up about shit mentally, even after years, they are both doing it tbh

• Also Kyle doesn't know about Austin 100% but is curious to know his story and who he is and used to be, and how he got in the Wii, especially after the passing of his family member of the same name, little does he know..

• Sam also doesn't know about any of it, neither Sam or Kyle know of what happened or Austin's story, Austin being in a tight spot since he doesn't wanna reveal his identity yet, knowing the possible reaction, for Eteled's sake, Sam's and especially Kyle's, and Eteled being absolutely fucking terrified since the fear of losing someone like Sam could become real, and the small but growing friendship he was slowly making with Kyle could go right back to hatred and wanting the small Mii deleted, not including the fact that he still eats at himself for his past actions so it being brought back up again would be a ✨mess✨

• Austin doesn't know if he forgives Eteled or not, but wants to try to move past it and not be reminded in any way

• Nathan is still a little lowkey scared of Eteled ngl, doesn't wanna upset him or anything and Eteled can tell, he probably sighs to himself but he can't blame the guy

• Kyle has thought about making another Mii of himself on what is now long been Sam's Wii, now that he's older and him and Eteled are rather chill, but decided against it since he wasn't sure, not because he didn't trust Eteled, but because he figured it could potentially remind the Mii of the past, so whenever he plays on it he just uses Eteled

So I'm trying my hand at writing and building my own fic. Like I'm trying to write about my ocs in the Notes app. And I don't know if it'll ever see the light of day. Maybe not but it's like a writing prompt exercise to get me to know what writers feel so I can respect their stories and whatnot.

But I may have gotten a bit attatched to the thing in writing because.

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THESE GUYS. MY OCS. AND THEIR WORLD I CANT I JUST DJDHDHDJDJJDSKDJJ.

so the whole plot is that this character who goes on a long journey to get to somewhere for some prophecy stuff but he learned early so right now there really isn't much rush for him right

he meets up with another dude who's supposed to do this DIFFERENT quest/destiny and since they have no one else they stick together until they eventually have to part ways

and then funny character plot happens and stuff and in the midst of that they meet this third character going to meet a wizard and so now there's this trio of dumbasses running around together but conveniently their paths are generally the same

and then they bump into these two characters that have these two destinies as well so now there's five people travelling together like a group and they start bonding because wacky shenanigans force them too and they travel big mountains and valleys together and stuff

not to mention hurt/comfort and angst

so after like the whole group being together for roughly a month or two their pretty attached to one another but then that's when their paths split. There's this big cross way that lead to wildly different parts of the earth and then they all have to say goodbye to one another and they now all hold this friendship bracelet in reminder of them or something

AND NOW FOR THE CHARACTERS

one of them starts off as sad and sulking because they were walking alot alone to the absolute sunshine itself, happy and smiling and singing and twirling and dancing and stuff

one is like neutral to everything but now he frequently uses her magic powers to make flower crowns for everyone (he/her)

one is also a bit sad. But now he's the one being the most dramatic and frequently the one starting up the singing and hes healing from whatever hurt him in the past (he/him)

one is just happy to go along with it and also very talkative (in a good way. Kept the two of them sane until they got their third member) (he/they)

and one is just absolutely vibing and also the one everyone sends to fuck shit up (she/her)

OH AND WHEN THEY SPLIT AFTER A WHILE THEY MEET UP WITH WHOEVER ELSE IS WITH THEIR DESTINIES SO

The person on the far right helps stop the world from blowing up (again) and by doing so preserved the earth and they think that their friends are living on happily and so they're glad to preserve the world for them

next to them is the guy that goes on to slay a tyrant and take back the thrown because he's the one true heir to it. But his first act is to abolish the dang thing and puts in democracy in place so he doesn't have the weight of ruling over a diverse set of a kingdom and lets the local governments become a council and stuff because sure he's the head of the democracy (nicknamed the King) to make sure it doesn't implode on itself and the system isn't that perfect yet but he's trying as hard as he can. (Aka he's trying to make his 'kingdom''s government better then we have sorry to be political but back to the good stuff) and he holds a festival called the festival of friends cuz he misses his

next to him is the person that uplifts a curse that affects the south part of the world and now the ecosystem is healing a lot more and every day he plants seeds of all kinds and grows a lot of things and now they hope that their friend can make more kinds of flowers since the world is now more habitable and more sustainable for things like plants but also because the group he got adopted into along the way is eerily like them but he knows they're their own people but it's just. Something that nags him to find them

and said magic flower friend actually became the apprentice of the wizard before the wizard basically said fuck it and legally adopted him and now she wears sundresses and makes all these plants he reads up in books and it's much easier now because the skies have cleared for some reason and now she's reviving all these forests and makes a small shrine with five flowers that all her friends like and stuff

And the last one decided to raise animals and actually accidentally saved a god from dying and is now deemed a demigod so now she runs around guiding animals to safe places to thrive which is becoming easier to do, even if she needs to find rare flowers their actually around if she goes far enough

so one day, they all meet again, in an open area in the forest.

the demigod wants to find a golden flower, the mage is sprouting plants every step he takes, the 'King' is out for a day, walking through the forest he just noticed, the curse lifted walking out for a breather and the world-savior already sitting there, basking in sunlight and humming to themselves.

and they all run into eachother somehow, like the first time they met. They've changed so much and gets it's still just them that's there.

so yeah that's what I'm planning to do

you can see I put in more thought into some of them because I thought about them more then the rest back when there were two and not five I decided to put in and I. Am going CRAZY over this I think about this too much and I don't know if I'm able to pull it off or even finish this goddamn idea I just. AAAA
